Alright I’m pretty sure omegle is the weirdest concept I’ve ever heard of.

So unlike cam I’m not afraid to try so I did and ended up with this.

Just now I heard on the news that scientist are saying that twitter is bad for your mental health.
Apparently people just read over updates very quickly and it degrades our moral reasoning, and this means that we are not realising the message behind the updates.

So, a current topic of converstaion on this here blog is that of twitter.

Within the last half an hour, I made my very own one. And it does seem rather simple and easy to use, whcih is probably why soo many people use it. But the thing with all of these networkinig sites, especially twitter, is that it has become too much about “Look at me and pay attention to me” and not “I want to find out about you”.

I mean, for those of you with a twitter, do you pay more attention, or care more about what you post yourself, or what you read about other people? Do you actully care if someone has just eaten a sandwich? Or how they feel? Because chances are that you followers dont care more than you do.

I honestly don’t get it.

What’s so great about twitter? It’s basically a blog where every post or comment has a 120 characters. WOW HOW AWESOME!!!!!! The only reason twitter is a social networking site is the ability to spam up posts, spam up comments, spam up personal messages and have a million followers (friends) that you don’t know.

So what is the difference between a blog and twitter?

Basically nothing…. really. Only the function to see who your followers are but I’m sure it could be done on a blog

Is there and advantage?

Only advantage with twitter compared to wordpress is the sheer ease of using it. Twitter proves that simpler is better. Although it doesn’t have any applications such as mafia wars, whopper sacrifice or tetris so what? social networking sites is all about connecting with people. Last I checked sacrificing 10 lukewarm friends for a free whopper isn’t connecting with people. Apparently spamming messages does. So twitter is good because it’s simple and should stay like that.

P.S

Results are in for the poll and they stand like this so far. No one uses social networking sites to meet new people, 17% don’t have one, 17% use it to stay them touch with friends, 33% got peer pressured into making an account and 1 out of every 3 of you use them to stalk .

Cameroen chan from this post on will take the challenge of trying to get addicted to twitter. I honestly don’t think it can be done but it’ll be interesting.
